Makeup 101 lesson featuring the gorgeous Taylor!

Good morning! Oh how I have missed blogging! After a hiatus due to other commitments, such as being a mom, beauty school student (now graduate!), a million trips to Starbucks and being super busy with weddings, I am back in the game!

First level of discussion, makeup 101 lessons! This past week I had a lesson with the beautiful Taylor. While Taylor is a makeup junkie like myself, she wasn't quite sure of the correct way to use her products. Like most ladies, Taylor was stuck in a makeup rut, using the same few products that she was comfortable with, leaving a majority of her makeup rarely used.

Just a part of Taylor's impressive collection!

I showed Taylor a very versatile look that is easily transferred from day to night, perfect for her busy life as a dental hygentist. Taylor's major concern was her skin's redness, which we easily fixed with Mac Color correctior in Yellow.

Fresh faced Taylor

Here are the details on Taylor's look:

I did half of Taylor's face and she did the other half!

Primer: Benefit Porefessional
Concealer/Corrector: Mac yellow corrector in and Urban Naked Decay Concealer
Foundation: Bare Minerals liquid foundation applied with a Sta-Glam foundation brush
Blush: Tarte
Highlight/Contour: Anastasia Contour kit in light to medium
Brows: Anastasia brow wiz in Blonde
Eyeshadow primer: Urban Decay anti aging
Eyeshadow: We used a combination of her Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and her Lorac Pro Palette along with a pop of L'Oreal Infallible Amber Rush of the center of her lid (my fave trick!)
Liner:Top is Mac Fluidline in Blacktrach and bottom is Urban Decay in Roach
Mascera: Maybelline Double Extend
Lashes: Ardell Demi Wispies trimmed and applied with Duo glue in dark
Lips: Urban Decay lipliner topped with Sta-Glam lipgloss in Sugar Daddy

I sent Taylor home with a list of products to buy to complete her look, which was only three products as we were able to use a majority of her own collection.

Makeup lessons are $100 per 90 minute session, and include a full face of makeup, customized face chart with product list, and Sta-Glam foundation brush. To inquire, just shoot me an email at carriehreha @gmail.com.

Carrie :)
